‍    The starting image for this week’s challenge was the magnolia but from Pixabay that you see at the bottom of the page.  If you look at it upside down, it looks like a fluffy skirt. Ballerinas wear fluffy skirts — so my composite idea was born. I used a ballerina from Adobe Stock (extensively re-colored) and warped the flower bud to fit around her waist and legs.

‍    I tried several backgrounds. The first one was a forest, but that really didn’t seem right. Then I tried a stage setting from Bittbox; better, but still not just right, I ended up looking for stage backdrops, and came across this fairy mushroom scenee on Pixabay. So th stage floor and lighting are from the stage set and then I added the mushroom backdrop. Maybe she’s dancing Sugar Plum Fairy.

‍    Today’s post is much. Later than usual — I’ve had my nose in a book to put off trying to add downloadable files for a demo video I’m also posting today. I thought it would be really difficult: turns out it was easy. Yay!
